Conversation Mandarin Course
  • Learn to converse in Mandarin quickly and confidently.
  • Learn more about the Chinese culture through lively and interactive lessons.
  • Native Chinese teachers using approved and up-to-date learning materials
  • There are 6 levels available.
  • 5 sessions (full-time) or 2 sessions (part-time) per week,
    2.5 hours per session, total 20 sessions (50 hours) per level.
  • Maximum 12 students per class.
Level and Requirements:
  • Elementary I/ Elementary II (HSK 1~3):
    Target Group - Learners with little knowledge (e.g. greetings, self-introduction, etc) or no knowledge of Chinese.
    Objectives - Learners will learn 800-900 new words and phrases, 1000-1500 Chinese characters, acquire a good command of tones and rules of Chinese Phonetics, and should be able to use the language fairly fluently in interaction.

  • Intermediate I/ Intermediate II (HSK 4~6):
    Target Group - Learners who have completed the elementary levels or those who have a fair knowledge of Chinese.
    Objectives - Learners will learn 1200-1400 new words and phrases, 2500-3000 Chinese characters, as well as experience an improvement in their reading, listening comprehension and speaking skills.

  • Advanced I/ Advanced II (HSK 7~8):
    Target Group - Learners who have completed the intermediate levels or those who wish to achieve a higher proficiency level of Chinese. speaking skills.
    Objectives - Learners will acquire more than 5000 words and phrases, use the language in its written and spoken form clearly and fluently, and able to read and understand classic Chinese texts and literature for general as well as for academic purpos

Examination

To qualify for a Certificate of Achievement, learners are expected to attend 85% of the classes and sit an examination (written and spoken) at the end of each level. A Certificate of Attendance will only be issued to learners with an average 75% attendance.
