Phonics and Phonetics Courses (Pronunciation Courses) The courses are designed to create phonological awareness and to teach sounds that are found in the English language. Students will be exposed to the phonetic symbols based on the International Phonetic Alphabet (IPA) and be taught to associate the sounds with the symbols. This course will also incorporate phonic rules to aid spelling and improve reading and pronunciation skills. Level Duration Time Phonics N Phonetics Level 1 (5 - 6 yrs) 4 Modules 12 Lessons per Module 1.5 hours per lesson Phonics N Phonetics Level 2 (7 - 9 yrs) Phonics N Phonetics Level 3 (10 & above) Phonics and Phonetics for Adults (Instruction in English) 15 Lessons 2 hours per lesson Phonics and Phonetics for Adults (Instruction in Mandarin)
